Gustavo Vega

Landscape Architectural Designer

Gustavo Vega is a multidisciplinary designer with professional experience in both architecture and landscape architecture, working across scales—from buildings and public spaces to regional ecologies and master plans. With a background in environmental design and advanced degrees in Architecture and Landscape Architecture, his work bridges spatial disciplines through a systems oriented, socially conscious, and ecologically responsive lens. Gustavo’s design perspective is rooted in the belief that the built environment must serve as a catalyst for resilience, inclusion,
and transformation. He sees design as a form of critical inquiry— capable of narrating place, confronting inequity, and revealing latent potentials in both natural and urban systems. His approach
combines research-driven analysis with visual clarity and narrative coherence, often using tools like parametric modeling, GIS, and generative AI to develop, test, and communicate ideas.

He has contributed to a wide range of international and local projects, from desert resorts and island ecologies to community centered institutions and civic infrastructure. His academic work includes teaching design studios, leading workshops, and editing research publications that explore intersections between environment, culture, and technology. Through every phase—from concept to visualization—Gustavo prioritizes context, collaboration, and long-term impact in shaping meaningful, adaptive, and beautiful environments.
