Emilie Alongi

Architectural Designer

Emilie is an architectural designer and community advocate. Having practiced in San Francisco and New York, she has had the privilege to work on a wide range of projects from single family residential to cultural spaces, focusing on unearthing individual and collective narratives embodied in each place. Her experiences have provided her the opportunity to focus on design collaboration both internally and externally with consultants, clients, communities, and city agencies. While managing the construction process for Queens Public Library at Far Rockaway, she worked closely with the New York City Department of Design and Construction (DDC), Queens Public Library, and the contractor to ensure the community’s desires for the library-built environment were achieved while meeting project deadlines. Emilie has been fortunate to work with firms who share her belief that to achieve great architecture, we must interface with the community throughout the process. This ensures built spaces will have a positive impact in our neighborhoods, and on our environment.
