Sadie loves a good problem with an elegant solution. Sadie believes that architecture should be sustainable, equitable and beautiful. It should be a source of joy and a tool for improving the world we live in. She understands that part of an architect’s role is to facilitate everyone’s best talents and to reconcile various points of view in service of the best possible outcome. She has a strong interest in tropical modernism and in learning from vernacular architecture to better understand passive design and the environment, as well as the history and cultures of a place. She holds a Master of Architecture from Tulane University, as well as a MSAAD degree from Columbia University, and has been living and practicing architecture in Puerto Rico for more than twenty-years. She joined Marvel as a senior designer in 2019 and has extensive experience seeing projects of various scales from conception through construction in Puerto Rico. Recent Marvel projects include a broad range of project types—from adaptive reuse of historical structures to master planning, residential, institutional, and hospitality designs, with locations ranging from northern Maine to Puerto Rico.
