Emily Richards, AIA
Architect
Emily Richards is a registered architect at Marvel with nine years of experience designing both new construction and adaptive reuse projects at many scales. She has worked in New York, Washington, DC, Chicago, and her hometown of Cleveland on a variety of civic, commercial, educational, and residential projects. Emily’s work considers how the built environment interfaces with the public and cultural sides of our cities and how urban context influences our contemporary design. She approaches architecture as a social science and enjoys thinking about how the public experiences the built environment in their everyday lives. In addition to her design work, Emily also has a strong background in architectural history, research, and writing and has published work on the historic development of urban neighborhoods in the Cleveland area. Emily holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Virginia and a Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan.
