Gabriela Hernández graduated from the School of Design and Architecture (RHC) at the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico in Ponce. With over 8 years of experience as a freelance designer, she has collaborated with firms specializing in design, planning, and construction. Notably, she served as the Community Liaison for the Local Redevelopment Authority (LRA) in the Roosevelt Roads Promise Zone, where she played a pivotal role in fostering community engagement. During her tenure, she supported the LRA by coordinating stakeholder outreach initiatives, developing strategic communication materials, and collecting demographic, educational, health, and economic data to inform community-driven projects. Her expertise spans design conceptualization, preparation of construction documents, 3D modeling and rendering, field-based data collection, and collaboration with contractors, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams. She is also skilled in permit management and other regulatory processes essential to project execution.
