About Us:

Marvel is seeking an Intermediate Landscape Architectural Designer to join our teams in New York, NY.  The candidate will work closely with Licensed Landscape Architects and a multidisciplinary design team to research, plan, design, and undertake construction administration of projects.

Candidates should have a minimum of five years of professional experience in Landscape Architecture, with a focus on iterative site design, technical documentation, and project management. We are looking for a well-rounded, detail-oriented designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, collaborates openly, and communicates effectively. The ideal candidate should be comfortable developing projects from concept to construction, working with clients, and coordinating with other disciplines across a variety of scales.

This position requires a high level of design expertise, supporting Project Landscape Architect in client interface and guiding Junior Designers through all phases of the design process, from schematic design to construction administration.

Qualifications:  

- Bachelor or Master of Landscape Architecture from an accredited school is required.  

- Minimum 5 years of experience working in a Landscape Architecture practice.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.   

- Must have strong proficiency in AutoCad, Rhino, Lumion, Enscape and Adobe CC programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

- Must demonstrate excellent communication and writing skills, strong organization

   and time management habits, and ability to work well independently and collaboratively. 

- Must demonstrate skill and knowledge of a variety of project types. 

- Most demonstrate experience in site planning, grading, and planting design. 

- Must demonstrate specific design and technical experience leading a project.  

- Must have experience that demonstrates their ability to work well within a design team and coordinate the work of an extensive team of consultants. 

- Responsibilities include participating in design proposals, as well as preparing written and graphic submissions for potential clients. 

Salary range: $75,000 - $85,000
