About Us:
Marvel is seeking an Intermediate Architectural Designer to join our team in our San Juan, Puerto Rico office. The selected candidate will work closely with Senior staff and a multidisciplinary design team to research, plan, design to research, plan, design, and develop construction documents, and support construction administration of building projects.
We are looking for a responsible, curious, communicative and ambitious designer to join our team, support the Senior staff, interface with our clients, and provide direction to Junior staff.
Qualifications:
- Architecture degree from an accredited school is required; Master of Architecture degree from an accredited school preferred.
- Architectural License and LEED accreditation encouraged, but not required.
- Minimum 4 years of experience working in an architectural design office.
- Must demonstrate a high level of design and technical experience working on a variety of projects types, from Schematic Design through Construction Administration phases.
- Strong ability to work well within a design team and coordinate work with an extensive team of consultants.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be fully bilingual (Spanish/English)
- Strong organizational habits and effective time management.
- Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, V-ray, Enscape, AutoCAD and Adobe CC programs is required.
- Must have all Puerto Rico government-required credentials up to date.
- Responsibilities include preparing architectural construction document drawings, 2D and 3D presentation drawings, physical models, and written and graphic submissions to potential clients, as well as participating in design competitions and proposals.
