Magnus Westergren, AIA

Colaborador

Magnus Westergren has led the design of several wide-ranging projects since joining Marvel in 2010. His experience spans a wide variety of scales and typologies; new construction, renovations and preservation; from concept through construction. Highly awarded projects include the adaptive re-use of the Central King Building at New Jersey Institute of Technology, the new Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center building for the Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, and the Red Creek Road House, an expansive villa in East Hampton. He is currently spearheading a 244-unit affordable seniors housing on a NYCHA campus, while overseeing the construction of a 424-unit 14-story mixed use tower, as well as the closing stages of the final two buildings of Rockaway Village, a two million square feet mixed use development in downtown Far Rockaway. As an Associate at Marvel and a founding member of the Marvel Design Group (MAD), Magnus is prolifically involved with the design culture of the office, believing beauty and creativity to be essential parts of the practice. Magnus studied Architecture at Parsons School of Design, and Fine Arts and Political Science at SUNY Purchase.
