About
Marvel seeks a Junior Landscape Architectural Designer to join our team in the San Juan, Puerto Rico office. The candidate will work closely with Licensed Landscape Architects and the landscape design team to research, plan, design, and implement a variety of project types, including public parks, plazas, streetscapes, waterfront esplanades, and multi-family amenity spaces, among others.
The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in solving complex design challenges, possess good graphic skills, and demonstrate interest and enthusiasm for detailed site design exploration and storytelling.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited school is required.
- 0-4 years of experience working in a Landscape Architecture practice.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, Lumion, Enscape and Adobe Create Cloud programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidates must be fully bilingual (Spanish/English).
- Demonstrated strong organization and time-management skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Demonstrated the ability to visually express complex ideas and solve problems graphically.
- Demonstrated knowledge of site planning, grading, and planting design.
- Experience demonstrating the ability to work effectively within a design team.
- Candidates must have all Puerto Rico government-required professional credentials up to date.
Responsibilities include preparing landscape architectural plans, physical models, 2D and 3D drawings and models using computer software to illustrate a project design concept.
