Scott is a registered architect and Director at Marvel. Throughout his career Scott has committed to developing design and architectural solutions, on many scales, which respond to present-day needs of life, work, and play. His education, experience and interests range from historic preservation to new construction, urban design, infrastructure and sustainability.
Scott is currently overseeing the renovation of the historic Chelsea Hotel. He has led the conversion of Hall Street, a full-block site with activated commercial opportunities and workspaces on upper floors. His experience in adaptive reuse can be seen in the design of the New Lab and Building 77 in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, both part of the site’s dramatic redevelopment in the 2010’s. Other projects include a new residential construction at Pearson Street and a master plan at Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden.
By working across a broad realm of requirements and possibilities, his process is able to balance diverse needs into a codified building solution. Scott received his Bachelor of Architecture from Texas Tech University and Master of Science in Historic Preservation from the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation.
