Amanesi Ozako
Architectural Designer
Originally from Lagos, Nigeria, Amanesi moved to the United States in 2016 to pursue a degree in architecture at Auburn University. Amanesi’s professional journey commenced with Marvel in 2021, where he has been instrumental in diverse projects, with a particular focus on hospitality, performing arts, and theatrical spaces. His architectural prowess is underpinned by a unique thesis project, which harmonizes traditional Nigerian architecture with contemporary design—a reflection of his personal evolution following his move to the U.S. Drawing from his multifaceted experiences, including collaborative work at Rural Studio, working collaboratively with his colleagues to design and build a 600SF single-family home for a local resident in Newbern AL; and extensive research in Scandinavia, Amanesi seamlessly navigates between architectural disciplines. His scope extends beyond physical structures, encompassing exhibition design, book design, and graphic design.
In addition to his studies and early work in commercial and theatrical spaces, Amanesi has had a pivotal role in the design and documentation of several high-profile projects including the renovation of NYCEDC Bronx Museum of Arts in Bronx. NY, the adaptive reuse of the Rainbow Centre Mall in Niagara Falls, NY, and a luxury mixed-use hotel on Portland Maine’s historic waterfront.
