Houchen Lyu

Houchen’s journey in landscape architecture began during her undergraduate studies in China, where she earned her bachelor’s degree. She further honed her expertise by obtaining an MLA from the University of Virginia in December 2023. Throughout her academic journey, Houchen pursued internships at Turenscape in 2020 and at DELINEATOR in 2023, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in project workflows and collaborating with multidisciplinary experts. Drawing inspiration from the intricate details of landscapes and her keen observation of life, Houchen views landscape design as a dynamic and ever-evolving process. Her passion lies in exploring how design can adapt and thrive in diverse conditions and environments. For Houchen, the hidden memories and stories beneath the ground hold profound significance, fueling her vision to create public spaces that are not only inclusive and meaningful but also artistic.
