Rosa Amaro

Rosa has extensive background in various typologies of Architecture. In more than 14 years of practice, she has successfully collaborated and executed project typologies such as health care facilities, educational facilities, transportation, multi-family residential, and infrastructure. In recent years of professional work Rosa has focused on large scale mixed used residential projects -many of them high-rises in New York City. Having grown up in New York City, Rosa has always been inspired by the ability to create functional and meaningful spaces with architecture that can serve and support diverse communities. Rosa is currently project manager of the Alafia Buildings A1 & A2 project. A 425-unit affordable and supportive housing project in Brooklyn, New York. The project will pursue sustainable features such as a geothermal system, and passive house envelope design, solar panels, and high efficiency windows.
