Rubén Meléndez Rodríguez
Architectural Designer
Rubén graduated from the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico with a bachelor’s degree in architecture. He then moved to Spain to complete a master’s degree from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (ETSAM) in Construction and Technology Architecture. After completing his education he starts working for the National Park Service (HABS) in Washington DC, managing the Historic Survey of the Arlington Memorial Amphitheatre and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. He worked on documenting these projects by precise hand drawings, CAD and 3D informational drawings to be saved at the Library of Congress. Rubén later moves to HYL Architecture where he gained experience in the private sector working on interior renovations, design, and construction administration.
