Sharon Kim has almost 20 years of experience on a range of project types, from educational interior renovations to multi-family residential new construction projects. She has focused on program driven design and believes that architecture can foster greater community and reshape neighborhoods. Prior to joining Marvel was a mixed-use new construction project in Downtown Brooklyn for the New York Hotel Trades Council and Hotel Association of New York which included a privately-owned public space plaza, ground-floor retail, a health center, and commercial office space. At Marvel, Sharon led the design and documentation of Plank Road, a 26 story residential tower with a New York city public school at the base. She was recently the project architect on one of the first ground-up buildings for KIPP: NYC charter schools, a 96,000 sf, six-story K-8 school in the Kingsbridge section of the Bronx. Currently she is the project manager for Atlantic West, a 163 unit affordable and supportive housing project with the Albanese Organization in Brooklyn, NY.
