Tom is a registered architect and joined the San Juan office of Marvel in 2020. Prior to Marvel, he led the construction administration phase for hurricane reconstruction of a resort hotel in the British Virgin Islands. His 9 years of professional experience spans a range of scales both abroad and within the United States, including residential, hospitality, laboratory, hospital, and master planning projects. His background also includes academic research and teaching, with a focus on sustainable design practices, energy, and material sourcing. Tom is a collaborative designer, with an attention to the craft and assembly of architecture. He is interested in resilient, climate responsive design solutions.
