Berry Lane Park is a vibrant 17-acre urban park in the Lafayette neighborhood of Jersey City, NJ. The site was designated a brownfield from its sites former rail and industrial uses, and reclaimed as a public amenity and heart of the community. Executed for the Jersey City Redevelopment Authority, in collaboration with Dresder Robin, it is the largest city-owned park and its first new park in over 50 years. The park begins at the foot of Berry Lane and continues south to the Bergen-Hudson Light Rail System. This new community park has added 635 trees and a 9% increase in usable green space to Jersey City.
