Lemon Hill Park, FanFest Philly
A living entity for Philly's FIFA Fan Fest and beyond.
Marvel is working on transforming Lemon Hill in East Fairmount Park for Philadelphia’s FIFA Fan Festival. Continuing our work with Philadelphia Parks and Recreation, our design prepares the park for FIFA World Cup 2026 and enhances the park for the future enjoyment of all Philadelphia residents. Our design approach considers Lemon Hill Park as a living entity, not a static object.
A Concept Plan shows an interwoven set of paths and new central features to create a hyper programmed and accessible public park worthy of its context along the Schuylkill River and adjacent to such incredible spaces as the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Zoo, Fairmount Parks and City Center.
Marvel gathered with the Lemon Hill Neighborhood Association, City Councilmembers, park-users, and our friends and collaborators at the Philadelphia Parks Department (PPR) and Capital Program Office (CPO) for to engage with visitors in Lemon Hill Park.
We also joined our friends at Philadelphia Soccer 2026 at the unveiling of the FIFA World Cup countdown clock that officially marked one year from the World Cup Games and festivities to kick off in Philly in the Summer of 2026.
