SUNY Downstate HSEB Medical Library Renovation

Addressing the evolving needs of medical school students, faculty, and staff.

SUNY Downstate proposes to renovate portions of the Health Sciences Education Building (HSEB) including the library, instruction and study spaces, auditorium, lecture halls, main entrance and lobby on the basement and 1st through 3rd floors into an efficient, flexible, and technologically modern facility. HVAC systems will be updated with new equipment to serve these spaces with energy efficient systems tailored to the building’s programmatic needs, user comfort, well-being and SUNY’s building performance guidelines.
