Architect Thomas Marvel moves to Puerto Rico to found Marvel & Marchand Architects.
Rogers Marvel Architects is founded in New York City by principals Rob Rogers and Jonathan Marvel.
Twenty years after the founding of Rogers Marvel Architects, Marvel and Rogers decided to form two independent practices, known as Marvel Architects and Rogers Partners.
Marvel Architects formed a partnership with Marvel & Marchand, the firm co-founded by Jonathan Marvel's father located in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Pierhouse and 1Hotel is completed.
The Revitalization of el Portal de El Yunque is completed.
The firm announced the appointment of seven new partners, bringing the total number to twelve. One partner leads Marvel Richmond, three new partners lead Marvel San Juan, and eight lead in Marvel New York — including the three founding partners.
MARVEL is awarded the prestigious AIA New York Medal of Honor, the chapter's highest distinction recognizing a firm for its distinguished work and professional standing.
MARVEL established an office in Barcelona, Spain, led by partner Esteban de Backer Gutiérrez who led the pursuit for the firm's first international project — Les Tres Xemeneis.

The firm transforms into an interdisciplinary collective with the integration of landscape architecture into the design process and the promotion of Yadiel Rivera-Diaz and Tyler Silvestro to partner.
To reflect this change, Marvel Architects becomes Marvel Architects, Landscape Architects, Urban Designers, PLLC, while practicing under its shortened name, MARVEL.

Developed in response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria in 2017, the design focuses on resilience, utilizing features like natural lighting, ventilation, and rainwater capture gardens.
