The Overture at Brookfield Commons
The Overture at Brookfield Commons
The Overture at Brookfield Commons is a 145,000-square-foot mixed-use affordable housing community located on 141 South Lexington Avenue in White Plains, New York. The project begins with a masterplan to add hundreds of apartments to the center of White Plains, within the area. The plan looks to reknit the fabric of the city by demolishing the superblock currently known as Winbrook. Proposed as a nine story block-and-plank building, the Overture features a multi-faceted brick and metal façade and houses 129 affordable one, two, three, and four bedroom units.
The lobbies are bright and inviting, featuring murals and bright wood paneling around the mail rooms.
Existing residents of the Winbrook area are the first to have access to the renovated apartments, ensuring accessibility and access.
Amenities in the building include onsite management, bike and package rooms, per floor laundry rooms, a fitness room, a playroom and a tenant lounge with a terrace.
The project will meet enterprise Green Community and NYSERDA standards and promote healthy living with active and passive areas along South Lexington and along the front of the building that prompt interaction and community building.
